Islam (إسلام) is a monotheistic and Ibrahamic religion, guided by the teachings of Allah(the Qur'an) and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (sm).

The word Islam is Arabic. It consists of the root word (س-Ù„-Ù…). Its etymological meaning is Peace, obedience, surrender, welfare. That is, to be free (pure) from both external and internal impurity (danger) and guilt.

The main meaning of Islam is to surrender to the one and only Allah.

In a word, Islam is the name of believing in the saying, "There is no creator other than Allah, He is unique, and the Prophet Muhammad (sm) is the last Prophet of Allah."

Followers of Islam are known as Muslims. And in the teachings of Islam, Muslims worship one Allah who is the creator of all things and the only worshipable guardian.

Islam is currently the world's second-largest and fastest-growing major religion, with 1.9 billion followers, or 24.4% of the world's population.

Allah has sent innumerable prophets and messengers from age to age to guide mankind. And Allah has given them the Scriptures. Similarly, the last Prophet Muhammad (sm) was given the heavenly book Al-Quran which is the complete word of Allah. The Qur'an is the main scripture of Islam. In the Qur'an, Allah says, "Islam is the only religion or way of life for Allah."
